Street Surfing’s Artist Series Longboards and Skateboards collection was designed in collaboration with the worldwide renowned Urban artists Super Van, Gonçalo Mar, Aka Corleone, André Trindade and Add Fuel.
Inspired by graffiti and urban art movements, this collection features eye-catching exclusive works, filled with originality and trendy looks.
“Mar”, at the age of 12 already drew figures of his imagination with a bit of chalk in the asphalt. Over the years his professional choice was natural. In 1998, he has his first experience with graffiti. Since then, moved by his artistic convictions, “Mar” kept looking for constant self evolution within the graffiti movement.
Pedro Campiche / AkaCorleone (1985) is a visual artist who started out as a notorious graffiti writer in the Lisbon underworld. A self-confessed obsessive with all graphic and visual things. He is known for his dexterity in using colours, typography, characters and forms, which he blends to achieve eyecatching compositions, filled with originality and an all-pervasive humour.
André Trindade is a notorious illustrator. Devoted to his craft, he has developed a personal and unique style through a sense of mysticism reflected on every portrait, character or scenario he develops. The well-creased lines and the light fixtures “vs” shadow using, makes the main elements and all its surroundings converge into a whole, unified in technique – in such way that he can provide uncanny environments through his plasticity.
An accomplished graphic designer and illustrator, “Add Fuel” (Diogo Machado) has been building a solid reputation as a visual and graphic artist in recent years. Having first created a unique visual universe populated by sci-fi inspired fun-loving creatures. Brimming with irony and humour, his vector-based designs or stencil-based street interventions, reveal an impressive complexity and a masterful attention to detail.
Vanessa Teodoro / The Super Van is a visual artist with a background in graphic design and advertising. Having established herself as a well known illustrator and street artist in Portugal, Vanessa is turning her focus abroad, where she feels that she can learn and grow as an artist. Her style is defined by a complex battle between graphic patterns, figurative elements and strong colours, all with a touch of caos and humor.
